Convertir data between Base32, Base58, Base64, Base85, and Base91
Translate le même binary payload across différent base encodings utilisé par différent systèmes (Bitcoin, DNS, PDF, compact serialization).
TÂCHE
Convertir hexadecimal string to Base64 and back
Translate entre hex dumps et Base64 representations de le même binary données sans losing octets ou introducing padding erreurs.
TÂCHE
Décoder Base64 text and handle missing or corrupted padding
Décoder Base64 payloads that arrive without trailing '=' padding or with URL-safe alphabet, and recover the original bytes safely.

TÂCHE
Coder binary data into a JSON-safe string
Convertir raw bytes (images, encrypted blobs, file contents) into a Base64 string that can be embedded inside a JSON field without breaking the structure.
TÂCHE
Coder a file into a Data URI for inline embedding
Convertir a small image, font, or file into a data: URI so it can be embedded directly in HTML, CSS, or Markdown without a separate HTTP request.

Chiffrer text with AES and decrypt it back
Symmetrically chiffrer un message avec un passphrase utilisant AES-256-GCM, puis déchiffrer le ciphertext avec le même clé en recover le original.
TÂCHE
Chiffrer a large file with AES in chunks
Chiffrer files too large for a single AES operation by processing them in chunks with a streaming mode, then decrypt to recover.

Questions fréquentes

What is Base64 encoding?
Base64 encodes binary data as a set of 64 printable ASCII characters (A-Z, a-z, 0-9, +, /), making it safe to store or transmit over text-only channels such as JSON, XML, or email.
Mes données sont-elles téléversées quelque part ?
No. All encoding happens locally in your browser with no server round-trip. The tool is fully offline-capable.
Why does the output end with '=' or '=='?
Base64 encodes every 3 bytes into 4 characters. When the input length is not a multiple of 3, padding with '=' characters brings the output to a multiple of 4. One '=' means 2 extra bytes in the last group; '==' means 1 extra byte.
Which character sets are supported?
UTF-8 (default), ASCII, Latin1, and UTF-16LE. UTF-8 handles multilingual text correctly; UTF-16LE matches the platform byte order for Windows APIs.
Can I encode binary files?
Yes. Use the file picker to load a binary file; its bytes are encoded directly to Base64 without any text decoding step.
What is the maximum input size?
There is no hard limit beyond browser memory. For inputs above a few megabytes, encoding runs in a Web Worker to keep the UI responsive.
