USE Method
The USE method analyzes three metrics per resource—Utilization, Saturation, and Errors—for systematic bottleneck hunting.
Purpose
Systematically analyze resource performance, leaving no bottleneck behind.
Mechanism
For each resource (CPU/memory/disk/network), check U/S/E. U: proportion of time in use. S: degree of queuing (queue length/wait time). E: error counts. Quickly scan all resources for anomalies.
