Skein-256
Skein-256 is the Skein variant using the Threefish-256 block cipher, with a 256-bit state, suited to 32-bit and embedded platforms.
Purpose
Provides Skein's security and flexibility on resource-constrained platforms, outputting 1-32 byte digests.
Mechanism
Threefish-256 (256-bit block, 256-bit key) built in UBI mode, 72 rounds. State and block are both 256 bits, suited to 32-bit word arithmetic.
