Rollback
Rollback restores the system to a previously known-good version, quickly recovering service when a deployment fails or misbehaves.
Purpose
Recover quickly from bad versions, reducing deployment risk and downtime.
Mechanism
Strategies: keep old images/deployments for rollback. K8s Deployment rollout undo. Database migrations must be reversible (down migration). Blue-green/canary switch back to the previous version. Rollback should be automated and fast.
