Resource Quota
ResourceQuota caps the total CPU/memory/Pods/storage a K8s Namespace can consume, preventing one team from exhausting the cluster.
Purpose
Allocate cluster resources fairly, preventing resource exhaustion.
Mechanism
Quotas limit a Namespace's total CPU/memory requests and limits, Pod counts, PVC counts, and more. LimitRange bounds per-Pod resource floors and ceilings. Creating resources beyond the Quota fails. Requires sensible planning and periodic adjustment.
