RadioGatún
RadioGatún is the successor to Panama, a sponge-function precursor proposed by Daemen, using a 19×w-bit state.
Purpose
Fixes Panama's collision weaknesses and provides a provable security bound — the direct precursor of the Keccak sponge construction.
Mechanism
The state is 19 w-bit words (w=1..64); the round permutation combines sub-rounds (asym, bread, diffuse), and the message is injected as two w-bit words. Sponge-style absorbing and squeezing.
