CubeHash
CubeHash is Bernstein's SHA-3 competition submission, based on an add-rotate-XOR permutation over a 1024-bit state, in a sponge construction.
Purpose
A SHA-3 competition candidate with a simple structure (only add/rotate/xor), suited to both hardware and software implementations.
Mechanism
Sponge construction with a state of 32×32-bit words. Each round: add the following column into every column, rotate, XOR the following column, then add again — 10 rounds absorb one 32-byte block. Output length is variable.
