Levels L, M, Q, and H correspond to roughly 7%, 15%, 25%, and 30% recovery capacity. Higher levels produce larger codes but tolerate more damage.

Can I decode a QR code from an image?

Yes. Drop or pick an image file and the tool decodes the embedded text locally using jsQR. PNG, JPEG, and BMP are supported.

What is the maximum data capacity?

Capacity depends on version (1-40) and error correction level. Version 40 with level L holds up to 2,953 bytes of 8-bit data. URLs up to ~2,000 characters are safe.

Which character sets are supported?

UTF-8 text is encoded directly. Numeric mode is more efficient for pure digits; alphanumeric mode for uppercase letters and a few symbols. The tool auto-selects the best mode.

What image formats can I download?
